This is a brand new 2000 aircraft purchased from the factory.   It still smells of the glove soft leather interior.  It is extensively equipped with a full digital radio stack including an IFR approach certified GPS and autopilot.  The panel is identical to the 1999 Cessna 172 (N963AC) except for a Garmin 430 color GPS upgrade.  The aircraft is quieter by far than earlier 172’s and is faster as well.  This is an SP model which means that it has a 180-horse power engine rather than the standard 160-horse model.  This adds 100 pounds in payload over a standard 172 and outstanding climb performance for a 172.  This is the most comfortable and luxurious way to do your flight training or to make a long cross-country trip.
