This is a brand new aircraft purchased from the factory late in 1999.
It still smells of the glove soft leather interior.
It is extensively equipped with a full digital radio stack including an
IFR approach certified GPS and autopilot. The
aircraft is quieter by far than earlier 172’s and is faster as well.
This is an SP model which means that it has a 180-horse power engine
rather than the standard 160-horse model. This
adds 100 pounds in payload over a standard 172 and outstanding climb performance
for a 172. This is the most
comfortable and luxurious way to do your flight training or to make a long
cross-country trip.
